The Genoa Fire Protection District has been the cornerstone of safety and security for the town of Genoa, Colorado for more than a century. With unwavering dedication and steadfast commitment, we have been proudly serving our community, ready to answer the call whenever disaster strikes.
Founded originally as the Genoa Fire Department, our organization has evolved significantly over the years, most recently gaining district status in 2022. This change marked a new chapter in our history, broadening our ability to deliver fire protection and emergency services. As a Fire Protection District, we will have increased capacity to respond to a wider range of emergencies, ensuring the continued safety of our beloved community.
Our fleet consists of a command vehicle, two Type 6 "brush" trucks, a Tender, and a Type 1 Fire Engine that are ready to tackle a variety of emergency situations. Each vehicle plays a vital role in our operations, supporting us as we confront the challenges of firefighting and emergency response.
As proud members of the Colorado State Fire Fighters Association, we are continually learning, growing, and enhancing our services. This association provides us with invaluable resources, training opportunities, and a network of professionals who are as committed to firefighting excellence as we are.
Crucial to our operation is the incredible support we receive from the Genoa community. Through generous donations, our community helps us maintain and upgrade our aging equipment and provide crucial training for our personnel. Each dollar, each gesture of support, fuels our ability to protect and serve our town.
